Rock Steady Crew member DJ JS-1 released his latest producer album, It Is What It Isn’t, featuring over 40 emcees. In this 27-minute interview with DJ Eclipse, JS-1 explains his vision in pairing emcees together that never worked together before and coming up with concepts for the collaborations. He pinpoints some of the easier artists to work with on the project such as Erick Sermon and KRS-One, along with his appreciation for Homeboy Sandman’s originality.
